THE ROLE OF VITAMIN D

In addition to calcium, Vitamin D is needed for bone health. Your body also requires it to absorb calcium. Women and men up to 70 years of age need around 15 mcg (600 IU) daily. After age 70, this increases to 20 mcg (800 IU) per day.§
